Wakpala School District #15-3 is a public school located in Wakpala, South Dakota on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.  We are dedicated to the intellectual and social growth of each student as they learn to live effectively in a contemporary bi-cultural world.  Our school educates students to help them become successful in all aspects of life with attention to individual differences.

Play Day picture

K-5 Play Day

Play Day for grades K-5 will be Wednesday, April 29th, starting at 1 pm in the Wakpala School gym. Please have your child wear running shoes. Each student will participate in 3 events and each class will be teamed up for an Ice Cream Cone relay. Families are welcome to attend and cheer on the kids.

Wakpala School's Annual Wacipi will be Friday, May 8th. Registration and lunch will be from 11 am-12:30 pm CST. Grand entry will be at 1 pm CST. Everyone is welcome! If your child plans to dance or sit with their family, please check them out at the front office before grand entry.

Grades 3-8 will begin state assessments tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8th, and will continue throughout the month of April. Please make sure your student gets plenty of rest and arrives on time so they won't have to do make up testing.
